What I Couldn’t Ask

What I couldn’t ask
what you wouldn’t say
burns inside my soul
each and every day
The nightmare world you made
stretched reality
broke it into pieces
you stabbed inside of me
Staunch the flow
whet the stone
twist the mind
break the bone
What is left
this patchwork mask
as scars define
what I couldn’t ask
